Occupational Therapists (OT’s) work with people of all ages. The goals are to assist and guide clients to maximise their independence and satisfaction with their daily living activities, leisure pursuits and work.
OT’s assist people in the development of the skills and resources needed to cope better with daily life despite illness, disability or trauma. This can include innovative ways of doing things, ways to make the environment safer, aids and equipment advice and home modifications.
Specialist programs such as hand therapy are also available.
