Initial Registration of Overseas Nurses
Please note that applications for 2012 RN programs are no longer being accepted due to the high number of submissions currently on our list. EN applications are still being accepted, however please be aware our program is not accredited to assess the EN medication component and graduates would be registered by AHPRA with a notation that medication administration is not within their scope of practice.
Initial Registration of Overseas Nurses Program is an Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) accredited program for RN and EN nurses who have been requested by AHPRA to undertake a preregistration program. Castlemaine Health currently undertakes these programs three times per calendar year in conjunction with the Return to Practice Program. Prospective participants must contact AHPRA prior to applying for this program and have an assessment letter from AHPRA deeming them suitable for participation. An information booklet and application form is available and details information regarding content, costs, scheduling, accommodation, etc. If you require any further information please contact the Administration Assistant.
Applications and enquiries can be emailed to the Administration Assistant or posted to: Clinical Education, Castlemaine Health, P O Box 50, Castlemaine Victoria 3450 Australia. Please be aware that response to enquiries will not be immediate and may take one to two weeks.
