Run The 'Maine

Thank you to all the runners and walkers, sponsors and volunteer helpers who made the inaugural Fun Run on Sunday October 4th 2009 such a success. Two routes of 5km and 10 km let everyone choose their level of participation. Both routes ran from the Castlemaine Oval on Camp Reserve, up Gingell Street then in a wide circuit around the hospital and the botanic gardens (two circuits for the 10km route), returning back down Gingell Street to the Oval. A total of 191 men, women and children entered, as individual or team entries, and raised $4,500 as well as enjoying a fun day out. Hospital CEO Graem Kelly handed out prizes to the winners of each category, and the list of results can be found at the Run The 'Maine website.

Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay

This year two teams, comprising 23 riders and support crew participated in the annual Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay raising money for Castlemaine Health. The ride aims at inspiring people who would not normally undertake such an experience to fulfil a major personal achievement. To enhance this aim, local businesses, members of the community, friends and staff members sponsor the riders in their fundraising efforts. As well as personal sponsorship, the teams organise a number of fundraising events including BBQ's, a raffle, mail-out to the community and a wine fundraiser. In 2010 riders raised a total of $31,592.

Invest in your local community - by making a gift in your will

Building for the future

We are building for future generations, just as our predecessors have done before us, and maintaining Castlemaine Health's valuable facilities for the benefit of the entire community.

Only with the continuing support of our community through donations, sponsorships and bequests can we continue to provide the best possible health care close to home.

Invest in your local community

You can ensure your family's security and also be a part of Castlemaine Health's future by considering your own personal planning through the establishment of a Will.

A gift in your Will to Castlemaine Helath is an investment in your local community that benefits future generations of your family and friends.

Preparing your Will

It is essential to your family's security that you seek legal advice to establish and manage your Will.

Should you wish to support the Hospital with a gift in your Will, the appropriate wording is as follows:

"I give, devise and bequeath to Castlemaine Health ..."

Your gift will be an ongoing memorial.

Please feel free to discuss with us how you wish your gift to benefit Castlemaine Health and how you would like your gift to be acknowledged.

Our Hospital is living testimony to the generosity of many individuals and groups in the community through the naming of rooms, plaques on equipment, paintings and memorial gardens.

All discussions with you will remain confidential but will assist us in keeping you informed about the Hospital's plans and implementing your wishes in the future.
