Fundraising Events

At Castlemaine Health we are committed to raising additional funds to benefit our clients – the community.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support that has been shown by many individuals, businesses, community groups, bequests, legacies and philanthropic trusts.

During the year, a number of special events involving staff and the local community raise funds for our health service, including:

Murray to Moyne

Each year the Murray to Moyne cycle relay riders are supported by many businesses and individuals in the community.

The Castlemaine Rouleurs saw several new members this year. They completed the Murray to Moyne in early April 2014 and raised over $20,000 for the purchase of a patient monitoring system for the new theatres.

The Castlemaine Rouleurs are getting ready to participate in the 2015 Murray to Moyne. For further information see the ‘Murray to Moyne’ page, via the link above.

Run the ‘Maine
The 2014 “Run the Maine” Fun Run held in October resulted in a $10,000 donation to Castlemaine Health.  This donation will allow for the purchase of more critical equipment for our health service.

Collier Charitable Fund
Thank you once again to the Collier Charitable Fund for a grant of $31,000 which will fund the purchase of an Olympus Camera Lead and two GE patient monitoring systems for our theatre redevelopment.

The Collier Charitable Fund has donated to Castlemaine Health (via the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation) over several years and has been responsible for the purchase of a variety of equipment beneficial to the hospital, the hostels and the community.  We greatly appreciate their ongoing support.
