2016 AGM wrap-up
Castlemaine Health held its 2016 AGM on 29 November, highlighting the organisation’s performance over the past year, including a $0.238m operating surplus and over $210,000 of donations.
Guests also took part in a lively workshop to explore ideas for ‘shaping the future of health in Castlemaine’ with Rob Carolane, a community engagement specialist.
Castlemaine Health’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian Fisher, and Chairman, Adam Sevdalis, hosted the evening. The Castlemaine Health board and executive team also took part in the workshop.
Ian said: “This AGM was the first of many opportunities that our local community will have to discuss their ideas and talk about the opportunities they see for our health service into the future.”
AGM guests included community members, volunteers and donors, who emphasised the importance of retaining existing services and offering a continuum of aged care for residents. Discussion also focused on the difficulties involved in working from such a steep, historic site.
Castlemaine Health would like to thank attendees for contributing their time and ideas on the night. All ideas and suggestions will be used to inform the health services’ strategic future direction.
