Hairdresser sought for patients and residents

October 29th, 2020

Castlemaine Health has advertised for a hairdresser to bring their styling skills to hospital patients and residents in living in aged care. The Expression of Interest is open to all qualified hairdressers in the Mount Alexander Shire.

Di Senior, Executive Director of Clinical and Community, said: “Having a hairdresser offer styles and cuts is so important for resident and patient wellbeing. It’s one of those essential services that people rely on to help them feel like themselves. The hairdressing appointment is also a great opportunity to have a bit of a chat and relax while being pampered. Everybody needs a little bit of ‘me’ time in their lives.”

The contract is for a two-year period, with the successful hairdresser to offer a suite of hairdressing services including shampoo and set, blow wave, trim, perms and conditioning treatments.

Applicants need to have a hairdressing qualification and be registered with the Mount Alexander Shire Council. Full details of the requirements and application process are available on the Castlemaine Health website.
