This Role

We are currently seeking applications from an enthusiastic Theatre Technician to work within our multidisciplinary team on a permanent part time basis. The successful applicant will contribute to the promotion and delivery of high standard care.

Dhelkaya Health comprises of two operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for patients. Surgical specialties include Orthopaedics, Urology, Plastics, Gynaecology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Dental and General surgery. We operate Monday-Friday with no on-call requirements.

Your duties will include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Assist nursing staff in preparing the operating theatre for surgery
  • Assist medical and nursing staff in transferring and positioning the patients
  • Assist in the transportation of patients within and outside the operating suite.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist in stock replacement within the operating suite.

About You

To be successful within this role you will need to (ideally) have:

  • A certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Support (HLT47515) or an equivalent recognized qualification awarded by a registered training organization.
  • Greater than 12 months of prior relevant experience as a Theatre Technician.
  • Experience in working effectively in a multidisciplinary team
