About Us

Our Service

We’re a small Level 2 maternity service, offering local pregnancy, labour and birth and early parenting care for healthy women with normal pregnancies. We also work with Bendigo Health, our regional health service, to support local women and babies who need more specialist care.

We offer Midwifery Group Practice care for women in Castlemaine, Bendigo, Kyneton, Daylesford, Woodend, the Macedon Ranges and surrounding regions.

You’ll find us in Castlemaine in central Victoria’s Mount Alexander Shire, just over half an hour from the regional city of Bendigo.

Our Location

The Central Victorian town of Castlemaine is half an hour drive from the regional city of Bendigo and just over an hour from Melbourne by car or train.

You’ll find us in the Mount Alexander Shire, along with the smaller townships of Maldon, Newstead, Harcourt, Taradale, Fryerstown, Guildford, Campbells Creek and Vaughan. The region has a population of more than 20,000.

Djaara (Dja Dja Wurrung People) have lived here on their traditional lands and cared for Country over many thousands of years.

Gold and agriculture helped build the town of Castlemaine and the region. These days the area is better known for manufacturing, for great food and wine, bike and bushwalking trails, the arts and creative business. It’s also a wonderful, relaxed place to live.

Dhelkaya Health is the largest health service in the shire. Bendigo Health is the closest major hospital.
